Silverfast seems good, has a nice modern interface and is user friendly so I'd like to keep with it (plus it's free with my scanner) but at the moment I'm a bit overwhelmed on where to go from here, what adjustments to make, how to make it better. Vuescan does a much better job scanning a slide, although the colors aren't as good the level of detail is much better wheras Silverfast has better color reproduction but much worse level of detail. I'm not getting the quality I expect out of Silverfast.
